Tatatu
From an ambitious global streaming vision, to a multi-tenant platform that brings together audio-video content, social interaction and monetization for users across three continents.
The Challenge
Tatatu needed a platform capable of combining the functionalities of an audio-video streaming service with those of a social media network into a single solution, scalable for vastly different markets: Western Europe, North America and South-East Asia. The solution had to be multi-tenant, support high volumes of traffic and content, integrate payment processors for monetization and communicate seamlessly with a multitude of external services. The main challenge: a unified architecture, yet flexible enough to serve audiences with very different behaviors, regulations and consumption preferences.

The Solution
We built a multi-tenant platform based on a REST API architecture, which allows logical separation of instances for each market while maintaining a shared technological core. The back-end is developed in .NET, on top of a Microsoft SQL relational database optimized for the large volumes of media metadata and social interactions. Integration with external services — from content providers to analytics systems and payment processors — is achieved through dedicated APIs, making the platform extensible and easy to adapt to new markets or new services.
Key Functionalities
- Multi-tenant architecture with logical data isolation and per-instance configuration, for simultaneously serving markets in Western Europe, North America and South-East Asia.
- Audio-video streaming integrated with social media functionalities: user profiles, feeds, interactions, user-generated content.
- Multiple API integrations for external services: content distribution, analytics, moderation, notifications, region-specific services.
- Payment processing through the integration of multiple payment providers, to cover the preferences and regulations of each served market.
- REST API architecture that allows data consumption by multiple clients (web, mobile, smart TV) and rapid platform extension.
- Microsoft SQL database optimized for high traffic and complex aggregation operations.
The Result
The Tatatu platform has become a streaming and social media solution operational at international level, capable of simultaneously managing traffic, content and transactions from three major regions of the world. The multi-tenant architecture provides the flexibility needed for rapid adaptations to the specifics of each market, while the solid technological base (.NET + Microsoft SQL) supports long-term scaling.

Our collaboration
The partnership started from the need to build a platform that would operate at enterprise level, in a domain — streaming and social media — where global competition is fierce and technical requirements are high. Through our team's expertise in .NET development, API architectures and complex integrations, we delivered a solution that combines technical performance with the flexibility needed to operate across multiple continents.
